Session length

Consultations are scheduled for 1 hour if the child is 11 years old or below. Consultations are scheduled for 1.5 hours if the child is 12 years old or above.

Therapeutic work is scheduled for up to 45 minutes dependent on the age and developmental level of the child/young person. The first session the parent/carer meets alone to explore the concerns, and expand the details, The work directly with the child/young person then takes place over 4-5 sessions (1 session per week). Following this, the parent/carer meets for an Intervention Planning Session they find out what they can do to continue making gains for their child/young person.  The child/young person can be part of this session (age/context dependent).

Assessment work is scheduled within a 2 – 3 session model (agreed during the adult/carer Consultation with the Psychologist).  Each child assessment session lasts up to 3 hours and includes administration time.  After which, if further work is required (intervention, consultation or further assessment) we will book in a second phase of work.  This typically has a 6 – 8 week wait time, following Consultation.  I will try to minimise this wait time as much as is practical.

Fees and Invoicing

Fees are listed on the website and your bespoke package will be confirmed with you prior to the beginning of our work together.

For consultations payment is due prior to our meeting. You can pay online on the day of the consultation or you may pay prior. Payment details will be provided to you when you book your appointment.

For assessment work payment is due via bank transfer on the day we agree to the work taking place.  If we have agreed for a report to be written, payment for this report is due via bank transfer before the report is written. The report is sent to you as soon as it is completed. If there is a delay in payment then there will be a knock-on delay on report completion due to the managemenmt of work flow.

For therapeutic work each session will be due for payment on the day of the session by bank transfer, or in person at the close of the session.

Invoices sent to solicitors will be due for payment via bank transfer within one calendar month of receipt of the invoice.

Location

Appointments are face-to-face, or via video link due to distance, restrictions or preference.   I work within the school, the home, at community settings, and at my office.  I travel up to 30 minutes from my home office in Moortown.

Cancellations/Rearrangements

If for any reason, personal or family commitments, I need to rearrange or withdraw my services I will, as far as possible, work to ease the transition and give as much notice as is practical.

If for any reason you need to cancel with less than 48-hours notice, and without rearranging the agreed work, then 50% of the agreed fee will be payable as it will not be not possible to offer the session to another client.  Payment is due via bank transfer on the day that you cancel the work.

If you are covered by private health insurance the same cancellation fees apply and are payable by you unless your insurance provider agrees to pay.
